The Department of Medical Pharmacology at Gaziantep University was established in 1993. A year later, postgraduate education began with the Master's program. Doctoral studies started in February 2004, and clinical pharmacology internships began in the 2004-2005 academic year. Our department has 10 faculty members, including 3 professors and 7 research assistants. In addition to providing educational services to medical and nursing students, our department actively engages in basic and applied research. Our department's mission is to train high-quality graduates who understand the mechanisms of drug action and to conduct high-quality basic and applied research in the fields of pharmacogenetics and cardiovascular pharmacology.
