The Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology at Gaziantep University is one of the two surgical departments established in our Faculty of Medicine. Founded in 1988 by Prof. Dr. M. Akif Güleç, the first surgery was performed nine months later at the State Hospital under the assistance of Prof. Dr. Avni Gökalp.
Today, almost all orthopedic and traumatology surgeries that can be performed in the most advanced centers in our country can be performed in our own clinic.

- Scoliosis and other spinal surgeries (Congenital and acquired curvatures of the spine)
- Pediatric orthopedic surgeries (Congenital hip dislocation, Clubfoot, etc.)
- Tumor Surgery (Skeletal system tumors)
- Cartilage surgeries (such as mosaicplasty)
- Trauma Surgery (Treatment of all types of fractures and dislocations of the musculoskeletal system)
- Shoulder and elbow surgery
- Foot and ankle surgery
- Hip and knee surgery
- Treatment of sports injuries
- Hand injuries
- Reconstructive surgery (Limb lengthening, curvature correction, etc.)
These and similar surgeries are successfully performed in our clinic.
Clinically, we continue our efforts to provide our patients with the best possible diagnosis, treatment, and surgery, working together with our faculty members, assistants, nurses, caregivers, and all other staff.
